KDHE lifts boil order for water district
Residents of Atchison County’s Rural Water District No. 5C no longer have to boil their water, according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The KDHE found no evidence of bacteria in the system after testing samples.
KDHE issued the advisory Oct. 3 after heavy flooding in the area when untreated flooded water could have entered 62 water connections.
The area affected is north of Valley Falls and used to be called Rural Water District No. 4.
