Students to rally against mascots
A committee that includes students from Kansas and Haskell universities plans to have a peaceful rally against the mascots of the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
“We are seeking to educate the general public about the misrepresentation of these racialized mascot images,” the group Not In Our Honor said in a statement.
At 9 a.m. Sunday, the group will gather in front of the stadium. The two teams will play beginning at noon.
