Bids accepted to refurnish clerk’s office
Douglas County commissioners on Monday accepted two bids for new furniture for the county clerk’s office.
The clerk’s office will receive new desks, chairs and shelving systems from Designed Business Interiors and Automated Business Solutions at a total cost of about $73,000.
County officials said the clerk’s office has been one of the few locations in the Douglas County Courthouse that hasn’t received any new furniture in the last several years. Money is in the budget to make improvements in the office, said Assistant County Administrator Pam Madl.
In addition to authorizing the purchases, the commissioners also received an update of equipment needed to be in compliance with the Help America Vote Act of 2002. They also discussed proposed revisions to rural development regulations.
Commissioners will continue discussing the rural development regulations at 8:45 a.m. today at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.
