Police arrested a 28-year-old Lawrence man during the weekend for aggravated sexual battery and criminal restraint.

A 19-year-old acquaintance of the man told police he grabbed her while at her apartment in southwest Lawrence, forced her to sit on his lap and touched her inappropriately.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 1, but she didn’t report it to police until Thursday night. The man was booked into jail Saturday.
