Equipment sought to aid in hurricane relief

MRA Co. in McLouth is seeking donations and equipment to aid law enforcement agencies in areas hit by Hurricane Katrina.

MRA is seeking trucks, all-terrain vehicles, off-road motorcycles, flat-bed trailers, basic police equipment, ammunition, two-way radios, batteries, first aid supplies, small generators, gas-powered water pumps and cash donations.

As part of the effort, MRA and Helen’s Hilltop of Tonganoxie will sponsor an equipment and donation drive and bike run. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Friday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark of the Kansas City T-Bones at 1800 Village West Parkway in Kansas City, Kan. Cost is $20 per driver and $10 per rider. Stops include Olathe, Lawrence, Ozawkie and Tonganoxie.
