After a long, gut-wrenching confirmation process, the nomination of Harriet Miers is defeated by a bipartisan vote in the Senate.
Then the White House trots out a highly credentialed conservative ideologue.
“Y’all care to, dare to, make it two in a row?”
It’s brilliant!
