Church’s request for expansion considered
Douglas County commissioners on Wednesday will consider a request from the Hesper Friends Church in the Eudora Township to expand its building.
Church members intend to build a fellowship hall for community gatherings, as well as an addition on the current church, 2355 North 1100 Road. The addition will include bathrooms and a wheelchair ramp, said the Rev. Charles Neifert, pastor of the Hesper Friends Church.
The church has about 35 members.
Douglas County commissioners will consider the site plan for the church at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.
