Not compatible

To the editor:

Welcome to Kansas. Set your watch back 100 years. That should be the new state slogan. That the board of education rammed their religious dogma into science is sad.

The ramifications of this divisive decision will be felt outside the classroom. Students studying to be educators have said they won’t seek employment in Kansas. Business may shift to other more open-minded states.

There is nothing wrong with the belief of an intelligent designer, creationism, or religion. There IS something wrong with teaching intelligent design as science. The two “theories” are not compatible. Keep intelligent design in philosophy class and out of the science book.
