Emergency exit
To the editor:
Several times a week, I drive by the new fire station being built on Stewart Avenue between 19th and 21st streets (one block east of Iowa). Each time, I wonder how the fire trucks will get out of there when there is a call and heavy traffic.
So, why don’t you who read this drive down Stewart Avenue and take a look. Four large garage openings for the big trucks. I ask the question again: How will these trucks get onto 19th or 21st, or Iowa Street, when there is heavy traffic – like when there is a basketball game at Allen? Looks to me like this is going to be a big problem! Surely someone has thought about this and has an answer.
