Vespers program Sunday in Lecompton

— The traditional Christmas Vespers and open house will be held Sunday at Lecompton's Territorial Capital Museum.

The music starts at 2 p.m. and will be provided by the Lecompton United Methodist Church choir, directed by Kim Stewart; the Topeka First United Methodist Church Bell Choir, directed by Sharon Fick; and performances by Fick, Cindy Daniels, Frances Sanford, Claire Hinrichsen, Sara Howard, Ladies Ensemble, Adam Lesser, Frank Stevenson, Jaron and Jeremy Robbs, and Jessica Goodrick.

The building features nine rooms of Christmas decorations, historic artifacts and a 16-foot native Christmas tree with many handmade ornaments. The building will be decorated through New Year's Day. It is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
