Cans for the Community recently contributed $500 to Ballard Community Services.

The group was formed earlier this year and has collection bins at Checkers Foods, 2300 La., and behind the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2104 Bob Billings Parkway. The donation this month was the fifth of $500 that the group has made.
