Faulty tactics

To the editor:

As the debate regarding effective interrogation of prisoners goes on, it should be noted that most of the geniuses who thought up the war in Iraq believe that physical torture is the way to go.

According to Sen. John McCain, a combat veteran and prisoner of war in Vietnam, “torture tactics often do not work.” My dad, a combat veteran during World War II often said, “You could never tell when the Germans were telling the truth.”

Vice President Dick Cheney should know all about “faulty intelligence.”
