Police are investigating a report that a Lawrence man was beaten last week at a party in east Lawrence after he allegedly touched another man inappropriately.

The incident happened about 1 a.m. Nov. 8.

The man who was beaten went to the hospital, said Sgt. Dan Ward, a police spokesman. Ward said police believed alcohol was a factor in the incident.

No one had been arrested as of Monday.
