Eudora house fire under investigation
The cause of a Sunday night fire that damaged a Eudora house and an attached garage is under investigation.
Eudora city and Eudora Township fire departments responded to the fire about 7 p.m. in the 1100 block of Spruce Street.
The homeowner, Mike Bichelmeyer, said the fire started after family members had left to run an errand. The blaze was brought under control in a few minutes after firefighters arrived.
No damage estimate was available Sunday night.
The Douglas County Chapter of the American Red Cross and neighbors are assisting the family.
