The Leo Center, 1 Riverfront Plaza, is looking for volunteers for a week of disaster relief work in New Orleans.

“We’ll leave at 2 o’clock in the morning on Dec. 10 and drive straight through,” said Byron Edmondson, director of needs ministry at the center.

Edmondson said the crew has room for 20 workers. “We’re not filled up – not yet,” he said.

A Christian ministry, The Leo Center will host an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday on its mission and what volunteers should expect. For more information, call 841-7297.
