Douglas County Bank is showing confidence in the man who has been running its trust business for more than two decades.

Mike Davies, longtime leader of the bank’s Trust Department in Lawrence, recently was promoted to senior vice president for trust and investment management services.

With Davies at the helm, the bank’s trust and investment assets passed $100 million this year.

Ross Beach, chairman of Douglas County Bank, announced the promotion by noting Davies’ outstanding personal service, solid investment returns for clients and respected position within the professional community.

Davies, an attorney and graduate of the Washburn University School of Law, has held leadership positions in the Douglas County Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Trust Division of the Kansas Bankers Assn.
