A “preparedness fair” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday will offer tips on disaster readiness. The event is at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3615 W. 10th St. Here’s the schedule:

¢ 10:30 a.m.: Lawrence Amateur Radio Club

¢ 11 a.m. Douglas County Emergency Management

¢ Noon: Lawrence Memorial Hospital pharmacy department

¢ 12:30 p.m.: Douglas County Red Cross

¢ 1 p.m.: The church’s “Food Storage & Preparedness” division

¢ 1:30 p.m.: Lawrence Police Chief Ron Olin
