TABOR support
To the editor:
I can’t fathom why a taxpayer’s bill of rights in Kansas wouldn’t be a good idea. In my view this should be a national campaign against taxation with no restraints. Colorado residents affected by TABOR recently voted to suspend coming tax returns for the next five years. This is a good thing; the government had to explain why it needed money from taxpayers, and taxpayers had to approve the money for the government. Kansans also should have the authority over their government on this issue, to keep our government accountable and our pocketbooks safe from legislative pork. It will teach our government to save and to be wise with our money.
