Mother enters plea in daughter’s death

? A Doniphan County woman has pleaded no contest to killing her infant daughter, Atty. Gen. Phill Kline announced.

Sarah Henderson, 21, entered her plea Friday in Doniphan County District Court and was found guilty of first-degree murder in the October 2004 death of her baby, who was about 3 months old.

A no-contest plea is not an admission of guilt but an acknowledgment that the prosecution would be able to obtain a conviction at trial.

Henderson faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for 20 years. Sentencing has been set for Dec. 9.
