Kansas University Police and the city of Lawrence are teaming with two local bike shops to give away coupons on campus for 250 free bicycle lights.

The city arranged to buy the lights at a reduced rate from Cycle Works, 2121 Kasold Drive, and Sunflower Outdoor and Bike Shop, 804 Mass. KU Public Safety officers will be on campus in coming days to distribute coupons redeemable for a light at either store.

The next four sites for distributing the coupons are as follows:

¢ 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today and Friday at Mrs. E’s dining commons on Daisy Hill.

¢ 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Wescoe Beach.

¢ 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday on the lawn of Gertrude Sellards Pearson residence hall.
