Breast cancer dance exceeds $50,000 goal
A benefit this weekend to help fight breast cancer raised more than its $50,000 goal.
Also as part of the Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer Dance, Bev Stone of Tonganoxie won the pink Volkswagen Beetle donated by David Bach of Das Autohaus Inc.
As organizers continue to add up the amount raised, it looks like the total for now will be close to $55,000, said Nancy Thellman, chairwoman for the event.
About 500 people attended during the weekend, Thellman said.
