Missing pagoda

To the editor:

‘Tis the season! No, no, not THAT season. It’s the season to enjoy our yards and gardens. Time to set out the lawn ornaments. Wait, maybe that’s not such a good idea, after all! Because if they’re not permanently attached to something, they can easily disappear overnight. We woke up Saturday morning to the sight of a lonely spotlight sticking out of our garden. The day before, it had a heavy three-piece painted concrete pagoda sitting over it.

Someone worked pretty hard to tote that baby off! I hope they enjoy it as much as we did. My mother used to call it her “wishing well.” Well, we wish the thieves nothing but bad karma from it!

Judy and Tom Crumet,
