To the editor:

In regard to your article about Redbud Lane, how dare you! I would like to know why none of the residents or owners of Crescent Heights Apartments, the complex actually located at 25th and Redbud Lane, were contacted? You mentioned the beautiful flowers at Crescent Heights but did not talk to any of its residents.

Unlike many of the neighbors to the south of us, Crescent Heights is a very safe and close-knit community. I am a wonderful example of that. I live in my apartment by myself and I have never felt unsafe or scared to enter or leave my apartment. I know that AC Management, the company that manages Crescent Heights, does credit checks and criminal background checks. I have yet to have a bad neighbor who cusses a lot or has loud parties. Most of my neighbors are hard working, polite students or families.

On the north half of Redbud Lane we do not have drug deals or fights or even police officers getting called out for disturbances. I would have loved to have spoken with the reporter writing this story to describe my view of Redbud Lane but that wouldn’t make for a very good story I guess.
