To the editor:

Regarding Verna Froese’s May 7 letter, she strikes me as a person who either is very unhappy or has too much free time. Why else would she arbitrarily attack a group of children? And for something as silly as a backward “N” in a thank you note. The note wasn’t even handwritten, but printed in a font meant to look cute. There are many variations of that same font widely in use by prominent people and businesses.

What she really ought to be doing is acknowledging, and even praising, the courtesy of the students at South Junior High. With a reception like the one she gave, one can see why no one writes thank you notes anymore!

In Ms. Froese’s stead, let me be the one to say: South Junior High School, you’re very welcome. And thank you for thinking of us.

Abby Campsey,
