An outrage

To the editor:

Kansans living in the districts represented by Kathy Martin and Connie Morris should be outraged. According to the Journal-World, neither Kansas State Board of Education member has actually read, much less studied, the proposed science standards. They have only “scanned” the document.

Yet Martin and Morris presume to sit in judgment of science in general and evolutionary science in particular. Not to worry, Steve Abrams has read the document. I am sure he can provide guidance to Martin and Morris. As for the voters of Kansas, I am reminded of an old saying: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
