Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical personnel tend to the victim of an accident as Douglas County Sheriff's officers inspect an overturned car in the 1900 section of North 1200 Road, about 2 1/2 miles southwest of Eudora. The driver lost control of her car Tuesday afternoon, and the car landed in a dry creek bed. Rescue workers had to cut open the roof of the car to extricate the victim, a sheriff's spokesman said. The woman, who was not identified, was taken by LifeNet helicopter to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The Eudora Township Fire Department, Eudora emergency medical technicians and the Kansas Highway Patrol also responded to the wreck.
