Loopy turns

To the editor:

This regards the newspaper’s Saturday article “Even city officials are confused by traffic circles.” If a vehicle cannot negotiate properly any of the city’s silly little roundabouts because of the size of the vehicles, which come in a variety of sizes, perhaps the city should reconsider its methods for “traffic calming” — or, is that “driver calming” — to prevent drivers from having to break the law? Traffic roundabouts are a great idea except when there is not enough space in which to construct them.
