Lawrence Police late this afternoon were involved in a high-speed chase this afternoon that took them east on the Kansas Turnpike into Wyandotte County.

Officers were trying to stop two vehicles around 4 p.m.. They were being assisted by the Kansas Highway Patrol. Spike strips were used to try to flatten the tires on the vehicles.
