Action lacking

To the editor:

I read with compassion the question in last Saturday’s “Sound Off” column regarding the neighbor who refused to clean up his property, thus ruining the neighborhood for those who were trying to keep an attractive area that they could be proud of.

I have had this problem for over three years.

To date, I have dealt with Neighborhood Resources, the city-county health department, the city manager and even a court hearing. In this case, the neighbor was ordered by the judge to clean the property or go to jail for 60 days. Neither of these occurred. I am at a loss if the judge’s order didn’t even work. I feel there is nowhere else to go. Does this mean that court orders can be ignored? Good luck to the “Sound Off” caller; you’ll need it.
