Lawrence Police said Thursday that in the past 24 hours they’d handled:
- 254 calls
- 18 reports
- one burglary
- one theft
- three noninjury accidents
- A 50-year-old Lawrence woman reported seeing a man exposing himself and dancing and another man urinating in public in the 1600 block of Maple Lane at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Lawrence Police Sgt. Dan Ward said police arrested a 39-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, both transients, in connection with the indecent.
- A Baskin and Robbins employee reported at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday that a female customer said she saw a man exposing himself by a trash bin near the store, 1524 W. 23rd St.
Burglaries and thefts reported
- A city of Lawrence employee reported that $1,428 worth of items were taken between March 11 and Wednesday in the 900 block of East 30th St.
- A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported a burglary and theft happened between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1200 block of Laura Ave. It was reported that $2,235 in goods were taken including DVDs, a DVD/VCR combo and video game player.
