Front-page news?
To the editor:
At the risk of seeming blasphemous, I’d still like to ask how often our Section A, front page, needs to be usurped for them Jayhawks? Isn’t a whole Sports Section enough?
Once in a while, it seems a little provincial to me that, with a war going on, cuts in Medicaid about to devastate the poor, our secretary of state in India, Darfur in the Sudan still in crisis, we have to search so hard to find news of our world — even if the Big Dance (March 16, 1A) might sell more copies!
