Highlights of Friday’s activities at the Kansas Legislature:
- On a 78-44 vote, the House approved a $113 million education funding plan relying on existing state revenues on a 78-44 vote.
- Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said approval of plans in both chambers represented only “a baby step” on school finance because both proposals cover only one year and provide no new revenues.
