Football pass

To the editor:

I just recently received my KU football ticket renewal information. My family has been using the family plan since its start a few years ago.

The family plan was such a great idea. Finally, the athletic department got smart and found a way to get people off the hill and into the stadium, using the north part of the stadium which isn’t used much and getting them to buy a coke and a dog as well.

Last year, the price doubled, the reason being that K-State was a home game. We understood and didn’t mind too much. This year, however, the price increased to $330 and doesn’t include the Oklahoma game as it was moved to Arrowhead. That means that basically there are only three good games remaining.

Why not keep the games affordable for people with kids who don’t have a lot of extra money for entertainment? Let’s face the facts; the stadium is not going to be filled by a team that hasn’t had a winning record in years. Lew, I think I’ll pass this year.
