Embarrassing

To the editor:

Atty. Gen. Phill Kline is kidding himself if he really thinks he’s pulling the wool over our eyes.

If he were really concerned about the protection of our children by obtaining minors’ personal medical records from abortion clinics, then he would also be seeking hospital records to supply live birth information, not to mention out-of-state abortion clinics and hospitals. Of course, none of this is to mention his infringement on personal freedoms by asking for sexual history, birth control practices and the like.

Who exactly do you intend to prosecute, Phill? The boys, the girls, their parents, the babies? Give it up, Phill. We aren’t biting anymore.

His argument is bogus and condescending. Just speak the truth, Phill. At least we could respect you for that, because it is certainly not going to come from your misleading and corrosive law enforcement tactics. You manipulate the law to match your religious and political views.

However, I must commend your amazing ability to shift the focus of topics in the media. Getting a little too much heat for talking behind closed doors about supporting the conservatives’ effort to teach Intelligent design?

I’m becoming increasingly embarrassed to be a Kansan.
