Law enforcement report

Lawrence Police said Monday that between Friday and Sunday they handled:

  • 998 calls
  • 81 reports
  • eight burglaries
  • four thefts
  • 13 noninjury accidents
  • two injury accidents

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A Lawrence man told police someone took his gray Weimaraner dog valued at $1,000 between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 17 from the 400 block of North Iowa Street.
  • A 43-year-old Overland Park man left his $1,500 Sony laptop computer in a conference room at the Lawrence Holidome, 200 McDonald Drive, and when he came back it was gone. It happened between 12:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Friday, according to a report.
