To the editor:

I have been dismayed by the lack of attention given to the Downing Street memo. I know of one article, that was pulled from the L.A. Times on June 15.

This memo and the issue surrounding it is huge in its seriousness and MUST get out to the people, to the residents of Lawrence and the surrounding area. I implore you to pay more attention to the events surrounding this memo and Congress’ reaction to it.

Please report on the developments, the Bush administration’s reaction, etc. Unfortunately, the public is unaware that there is the great chance that Bush formed his policy and intelligence around his intent to invade Iraq preemptively. This situation’s similarity to the events leading up to U.S. invasion of Vietnam are remarkable.

The media must inform the people. Please do so.
