State Touring program introduces changes

The Kansas Arts Commission has changed the requirements for its Kansas Touring Program Roster, and the deadline to apply is July 13.

Along with the usual retinue, Kansas visual and literary artists may now apply to be included on the program roster. Artists may propose workshops, readings, demonstrations or any other educational event for students or a community, but stand-alone talks will not be accepted.

For more information about the expanded criteria, contact program consultant Karen Brady at (785) 368-6545 or karen@arts.state.ks.us.

The July 13 deadline is also for performing artists who are reapplying.
