Classy team

To the editor:

Recently, I worked the Big 12 baseball tournament in Oklahoma City. In my 17 years of working the baseball games I have worked many professional and college baseball games. Over the years, I have seen many things in the dugouts of these games. I would like to take a minute and let you know about the team that represents your university.

I was assigned to work in the dugout of the first game Kansas played. The team lost this first game, but it is how they acted that impressed me.

Coach Price and his team were the best-acting team I have ever seen. I did not hear one foul word, nor did I see one bad act by any of the players or coaches. I was very impressed with this team. Coach Price was very respectful and his players were equally impressive.

I have never told any team or coach that I agree with or without what they do in their dugout. However after the game was over, I told Coach Price how impressed I was with him and his team. I told him he had a very classy team and he turned a native Husker into a Kansas fan.

I really mean that.

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know just how impressed I was with Coach Price and his baseball team. They really made the university look very good even in defeat. You should be very proud of him and his team.
