City commissioners are asking city residents to give their thoughts on the upcoming 2006 city budget.
Background
City commissioners say this is the best opportunity for residents to express what priorities commissioner should have as they work on the 2006 budget. Commissioners are set to have a series of budget meetings later this month. They must approve a budget for next year by early August.

¢ approve site plan for Free State Brewing Co. to expand sidewalk dining area at 636 Mass.
¢ receive recommendation from the Plumbing Board concerning a change to the plumbing code that would delete the amendment restricting the use of PVC drain, waste and vent pipe.
¢ authorize the mayor to sign an agreement with Kansas Department of Transportation for bus shelter and bus stop amenities for state fiscal year 2006.
