Free State High pitchers Jake Hoover and Max Ellenbecker and Firebirds’ shortstop Robby Price have earned Class 6A first-team all-state designation from the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches.

Free State first baseman Lorenzo Ricketts was named to the second team.

Hoover and Ellenbecker are seniors. Price and Ricketts are juniors.

The KABC also tapped Free State’s Mike Hill and Tom Campa of Goodard as Class 6A coaches of the year.

In Class 4A, Perry-Lecompton outfielder Drew Tucker and Basehor-Linwood catcher Kyle Speichinger and third baseman Josh Ishmael earned first-team accolades. Santa Fe Trail junior pitcher Brian Shively was named to the 4A second team.
