Porn causes crime

To the editor:

News flash: Christian men are at increased risk to be victimized by pornography. Addiction to pornography causes men to do things they would not otherwise do, irrational things, like strangle their wives. These Christian men are victims of a compulsion they did not want and are powerless to control. This happens because Christian men suffer from guilt associated with the repressed fulfillment of sexual desire.

News flash: The Roman Catholic Church pays millions of dollars to compensate the victims of priests who abuse young boys. These priests are victims of a compulsion they did not want and are powerless to control. This happens because the vow of celibacy forces priests to repress the fulfillment of sexual desire.

News flash: Naughty but Nice, an “adult shop,” located on Massachusetts Street, sells sexually oriented merchandise and is being forced to move to a less obvious location, “on the highway.”

Conclusion 1: Sexual desire causes crime.

Conclusion 2: Pornography causes sexual desire.

Conclusion 3: The man did not murder his wife, pornography did.

Conclusion 4: The priest did not abuse the child, pornography did.

Conclusion 5: People cannot control themselves, their actions, or their decisions; so government must be used to stop us from harming ourselves.

The Solution: Ban pornography.
