Warm memory

To the editor:

Regarding the Eudora Nursing Center, my husband Clint was a resident there for almost two years and I was there once or twice a day most every day.

I shall be eternally grateful for the loving, professional care he was given and more than that for the welcome they gave me with open arms. They loved me, hugged me, fed me and laughed and cried with me. The meals were well balanced and tasty and the activities helped pass the time, especially the piano man who played “our kind” of music, the kind to dance by.

What was a year and a half ago and whatever has happened since then should not be terminal. There must be a cure and solution.

My plan A is to live in my old farmhouse to the end, but if that is not His plan, my plan B is to join my friends at ENC. I’m sure they’ll be there for me if I need it. I don’t know how I can give a stronger endorsement than that.

God’s speed ENC!

Joy Clouse,

Eudora
