National Guard caravan to stop in Lawrence

The Kansas National Guard Whistle Stop Caravan will stop in Lawrence on Monday as it tours the state in celebration of the Guard’s 150th anniversary.

The caravan features a mobile museum showcase of memorabilia and historic equipment from the Guard’s history. Among items to be displayed will be photos, uniforms and a Civil War era cannon. The items were selected from the Guard’s museum.

The caravan will be at the Lawrence National Guard Armory, 200 Iowa, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
