Liberal rants

To the editor:

It seems to me that lately (for the last five years), every day has been Ground Hog Day. What do I mean by this? Simple. Since November 2000, the Democrats have been carping, whining, crying and having much gnashing of teeth about George W. Bush. And every day since then, they have been showing the world how wrong, small and meaningless they are becoming (see elections 2002 and 2004). Al Gore ranted. U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York ranted. Hillary Rodham Clinton ranted. Lawrence, Kansas, ranted. Now, five years have gone by, and the rants are still going on.

The Dems can’t seem to accept the fact that they have been losing, losing, losing since Reagan. Yes, they even lost in ’92, ’94 and ’96 because “we the people” were able to elect good leadership to the Congress and stop the Rodham Clintons and their leftist robots. Every time the liberals (synonymous with a large portion of the Democratic party) try and “stick it” to the Bush administration, they come out looking like fools.

Karl Rove was the architect of this administration’s winning twice and the Dems hate him for that. Now, this “Ground Hog” Day (season) the Democrats have been carping, whining, crying and having much gnashing of teeth about nothing. It seems to me that they would shut up or they might get more and more years of conservatism. Nah, they love seeing their own shadow (and hearing their own voices). See you in ’08 Punxatawney Algorehowardchuckhillary.

Robert M. Tyler,
