Free two-hour workshop scheduled for Thursday

The Lawrence Coalition to Honor End-of-Life Choices – or CHEC – and Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s Palliative Care Team will hold a free two-hour workshop to educate community members about the meaning of living wills and the legal steps involved in creating them.

The workshop will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the LMH auditorium, 325 Maine.

Living wills are documents that state people’s health care wishes, should they ever become unable to speak for themselves. Creating a living will in Kansas does not require an attorney and can be done free of charge at LMH.

For more information about the workshop, contact Viva Bolova at 840-3130.
