To the editor:

Before moving my wife to the Eudora Nursing Center on Dec. 11, 2003, we researched the nursing facilities in Lawrence, Eudora and Baldwin.

I am confident we made the right choice. At the Eudora Nursing Center the staff is both professional and caring. The environment is bright and airy.

Recently many family members gathered in Lawrence to say “hello and good-bye” to our son, his wife and their children on their way to New York. During one of the family visits to her in Eudora my wife remarked, “I really like it here.”

It’s not easy having your wife in a nursing facility. Visiting her daily at ENC and seeing how well she is cared for helps make a difficult situation tolerable.
