Junction City ? Free State’s Jesse Hardy took third place at 189 pounds, and Marc Somers was fourth at 125 at the Junction City Invitational. FSHS placed 10th in the 12-team tournament.

“This was a really good tournament,” Free State coach Darrell Andrew said. “The last four weeks, we went to four of the best tournaments in the state. The kids are gaining some valuable experience.”

Free State will be idle until the Sunflower League meet, Feb. 12 at Shawnee Mission West.
