To the editor:

I enjoyed reading the story about Pachamama’s and their success in Lawrence. Kudos to the owners of this business. I also find it interesting that in a time when the smoking ban is being blamed for business failures, Pachamama’s (also no smoking) is a great success. I also find it interesting that on weekend evenings one has to wait for a table to eat at a place like Teller’s or Free State Brewing Co. (also no-smoking establishments).

And then we read about struggling businesses. Can one really blame the smoking ban? After reading the article about Pachamama’s and waiting for tables at a number of establishments in town, I sure question that.
