Club responds

To the editor:

The Journal-World published on Jan. 16 a letter from Hilda Enoch of Lawrence.

She asked a simple question: “(H)ow much money of the $120,605 spent by the new anti-tax group, Kansas Club for Growth, last election came from outside our state?”

The answer is: none. Every dollar was contributed from Kansas citizens and businesses as our disclosure on file in Topeka shows.

Our group is a voluntary association of Kansans advocating for policies and candidates most likely to move Kansas forward through ideas conducive to economic growth: low taxes, sane regulation and reasonable limits on lawsuits.

Those wishing to become members of the Kansas Club for Growth may learn more about our group at www.clubforgrowth.org.
