To the editor:
I want to thank the crew from Westar, our local fire department and whoever else was involved with our localized Winona Avenue power outage Tuesday evening. Their effort is commendable and much appreciated, as they had us back “online” in just a few hours despite the weather and the safety issues of a downed power line! We are so fortunate to have all the luxuries we have in the United States, and sometimes it takes the absence of one, such as electricity, to make us aware of how much we are blessed with here in the USA.
